Lenovo's International Warranty Service (IWS) provides our customers with warranty service even if they relocate their PC to another country. This warranty service is available wherever Lenovo or Lenovo resellers sell and service your particular machine type.       

 

International Warranty Service Terms and Conditions

 

International Warranty Service (IWS) enables customers who travel with or relocate any IWS-eligible Lenovo product to receive warranty service in any country where their product is sold and serviced. IWS-eligible machine types can be serviced by Lenovo or Lenovo resellers authorized to perform warranty service under the warranty terms wherever the specific Lenovo product is sold and serviced. The length of warranty service is based upon the originating country of purchase, however, the method of service provided (for example, depot, customer carry-in repair , on-site repair) in the servicing country may be different from the method provided in the country in which the machine was purchased. Service procedures may vary by country, and some service and/or parts may not be available in all countries. Some countries may have fees and restrictions that apply at the time of service. Certain countries may require additional documentation, such as proof of purchase or proof of proper importation, prior to performing IWS service. IWS eligibility is based on the four-digit machine type; however, certain countries may not have the capability of servicing all models of a particular machine type.

IWS Implementation in Mainland of China

  

In order to provide convenient service for customer who purchased Lenovo Think products from outside Mainland of China and those who is travelling in China, Lenovo provides registration service of International Warranty Service in Mainland of China. Upon successful registration, customer’s machine will eligible to have warranty repair service in Mainland of China. When customer applies to register IWS service, Customer needs to supply travel document and proof of purchase or other documentations as requested by Lenovo.

 

Once IWS registration is completed, it will receive the same level of service as normal warranty.

Register IWS in Mainland of China

 

When a machine was purchased out of Mainland of China, and requires performing hardware warranty services, please click URL blow to submit an application to apply IWS registration. If the machine was purchased within Mainland of China, and requires warranty services in/out Mainland of China, IWS registration is not required. Please click here to register your machine.

 

Other IWS Notices

 

IWS service in China is via Customer Carry-In Repair (CCR).

 

IWS is hardware-component warranty, not including software or bundled OS under IWS. Software support should be supplied from the product original purchase location.

 

IWS customer has to abide by the Laws and Regulations of PRC Customs when importing the product.

 

Lenovo conducts its business legally and is against any business operation prohibited by applicable laws and regulations. Lenovo will not provide services in any form to products imported into China through illegal channel, or without following the procedures required by laws and regulations.
